Description:
The Centre for Distance Studies and Continuing Education at the University of Kaiserslautern is a provider of university level distance education programmes dealing with different subjects and topics since 1992. The quality of the study material the faculty delivers is the result of broad experience in distance teaching and further education by a team of authors.

The Centre offers six distance education programmes: Adult Education; Total Quality Management; Medical Physics and Technology; Technology in Medical Areas; Management of Social Institutions and Organisations and Human Resource Management addressing people who already have a university degree. A university degree is a prerequisite for enrolment.

Admission:
The prerequisite for admission and enrolment is a university degree (in Germany: abgeschlossenes Studium an einer Universitaet oder University of Applied Science).

Services:
Distance studies comprise a total of four semesters and can be carried out in addition to work. On completion students obtain a qualified university certificate.

Studies are composed of independent study and mandatory residential schools.

Up to four modules of 2-3 study letters will be completed per semester including assignments.

Qualification proofs are delivered in the course of the studies.


Registration:
Enrolment enquiries are handled centrally at the Centre of Distance Studies and Continuing Education. Registration is only possible for the winter term (start 1st October). Fees range from DM 590,- up to DM 1500.
